“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Faith could be define as the trust or believe sustained in the Biblical promises. The true faith is the trust in Jesus, the author of our faith, as per Hebrews 12:2. God gave all of us a portion of faith and in order to activate it, we just have to repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we need to abandon the life we had until then and allow Him to transform our way of thinking and our heart.
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4
Meanwhile our human faith works according to the circumstances that surrounds us, the faith in Jesus is the assurance of his work. It’s to be convinced that the things that seem to be impossible are real, is the true confidence in the results. Is that assurance, that the Holy Spirit puts in our hearts, that something is going to happen.
“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20
Is the trust in the things expected for and the demonstration of the things unseen. The faith in God is not only to believe that God can, is to know that he will do it, is having the certainty that we are going to accomplish it. Is to be convinced that regardless of what we are going through, we are going to receive it in his perfect time. Is to believe that something exist even when we cannot see it. Is to walk every day knowing that as it says in Isaiah 43:2
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”
Faith is the property title that guarantees that the things that are expected and that we believe that are ours even when we don’t see them with our eyes. The faith is the arm that stretches to the spiritual world to receive the things that God already gave us. Is that unbreakable force that sustains us through the trials and makes us believe in the faithfulness of God.
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Faith always sees the Word of God as a reality even when the circumstances seems to be the opposite to God’s promises. Is to confront adversity trusting firmly in the Lord, knowing that he is going to give us what we need.
“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”
Faith is the certain assurance of something, is to see the invisible. Is to remain obedience, trusting in what has been promised, is to believe in the unbelievable. Is to be totally convinced of something, is to wait for the impossible. Is that relax and serene attitude of totally surrender into the hands of God so He can resolve anything. Is that conviction that everything that is in the bible, is true. Is to walk through life with the security that no matter the circumstances, God is in control.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
The faith is base in two beliefs: The first one is that God is who He says He is. And the second is that God will do what he says He will do. Is to trust in the Lord and obey, to place ourselves in His hands even if we don’t understand. When we believe that God will fulfill His promises, even when we don’t see any physical manifestation of that promise, we are operating in faith.
“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” James 1:6
Through faith we receive:
Forgiveness: “And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.” Luke 5:20
Help: “But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.” Luke 8:23-24
Healing: “And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.” Mark 10:52
Justice: “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romanos 1:17
The unbelievers many time doubt about the people that have faith, they think they are ignorant, illogical and superstitious. It seems that is very difficult for man and women in this times to believe in something that they can’t see with their eyes or touch with their hands. This world full of unbelief needs the fruit of Faith in our life, so we can answer to their fears and doubts. Faith, sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible.
