RESURRECTION OF THE DEATH AND FINAL JUDGEMENT

All human beings are born from with a fallen nature, we remember that through disobedience of the instructions given to Adan, in Genesis 2:17 that says “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” All human beings are born deprived of eternal live, reason why we are excluded of the presence of God inside of us. God destined us not to die, death is opposite of His original design, but death entered into the world as a consequence of the sin of men.

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—“Romans 5:12

This is the reason why before receiving Christ as our Lord and Savior, we feel an emptiness that we cannot understand and we try to fill it up with things of the world and vanities but when we do the prayer of faith, our life is transformed by the love of Jesus and our heart is full of joy.

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” John 11:25

We can only obtain salvation through Jesus Christ. When we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, the physical death is not our end, is the entrance to an abundant eternal life.

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

Death was transformed into eternal life for us, because of the sacrifice of Jesus in the cross, He died because of this love for us, fulfilling the will of the Father. With this act of obedience, Jesus transformed death into a blessing. To be saved we only need to repent and ask the Lord to change our way of thinking and our heart, because the way we act and, the decisions we make, determines our eternal life. Otherwise, it would be irrelevant that we seek to live in holiness.

The bible says that those who accepted Jesus Christ and have faith in Him will be saved, but having faith is not only to believe in Him, we have to live according to that faith, doing the will of the Father, in other words, being obedient.

Jesus resurrected with his own body, but not with a worldly life. His body was already a glorious body, incorruptible, that was no longer subject to time and space, a body that could appear and disappear in places, through walls, but it was still a human body that could eat and drink.

When we die, there is a separation between body and soul. Our body, as any living organism, continues is process of corruption, meanwhile the soul seeks an encounter with God.

God loves us, because we are his children, we are his creation and when we resurrect we are going to rejoice in body and soul. Our bodies will be transform so they will be similar to the glorious body of Jesus, says Philippians 3:21. With the resurrection, our bodies will be immortal and incorruptible, and they will not be subject to illnesses and they will join again with our souls.

In the old testament, the resurrection of the death and the final judgement are describe by various prophets. In the book of Matthew Chapters 24 & 25, in Mark Chapter 13, in Luke Chapters 17 & 21 and in the book of Revelation, it says that in the end of times there will be hard times for the earth and humanity: earthquakes, changes in the weather, we will see signs in the heavens and earth, fire will fall from the sky, pestilences, famine, great droughts, plagues will manifest as never before and never again.

We don’t know when this is going to happen, only God knows. Jesus said that nobody knows the time when this is going to happen. Therefore, we don’t need to be concern about the time, the important thing is that we work in our holiness, taking care of our salvation with fear and tremble as the word of God said.

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” Hebrews 9:27

By accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our name will be written in the book of life. “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books” Revelation 20:12-13

In this book, the Bible says, that is the legal registry in heaven of our actions, there it is all the faithful saints, dead and alive, the ones who made the decision to do the will of God.  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Mateo 7:21

And the people whose names are not written in the book of life, will send to the lake of fire, says Revelation 20:15

The day of the Final Judgement will be after the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the death, all humanity will be judged according to their works; and the Wisdom and Justice of God will be known for our eternal good and how He has turn the bad and the suffering of humanity for His glory.

We are going to understand the reason of everything that we are living today and everything that we are going through; that through this, our souls will be purified and transformed. Through the desserts we are being tested and approved by the Lord. That day we will know how He wrote the story of salvation for each one of us, so we can enjoy in the eternal presence of God.

But let not worry about what is to come, but on how we should live from now on, because when that day arrive, everything will be made new, there will be a new Heaven and Earth, where we will enjoy together with thousands of angels, of the presence of the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit, says the Bible.

“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea”. Revelation 21:1

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels”, Hebrews 12:22

The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.” Revelation 21:23
