THE TORAH
Q&A

1.-What is the Torah?

The Hebrew Word Torah means, basically, teaching and instruction. It can define a wise man teaching his son or God teaching the people of Israel.

Through the Torah (instruction) God demonstrates His interest in all the aspects of the life of man. It also reflects the care and love that God has for man.

“Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord!.”  Psalm 119:1

2.- Is the Torah holy?

The Torah is holy a blessing the people of God.

‘Therefore, the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.”  Romans 7:12

3.- Does the Torah speaks about Jesus?

Yes, the Torah is a mentor that directs us to Jesus the Messiah.

“Therefore, the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.”   Galatians 3:24-26

4.- Does it help the Christians to read the Torah (Instruction of God)?

Of course, because the Torah talks about Yeshua (Jesus)

“Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures(Torah).”    Luke 24:44-45

5.- Is the whole Scripture the Torah (Instruction of God)?

For the believer in Jesus the term Torah (Instruction from God) is wider. The Gospels, the book of Acts, the Epistles and the Revelation of John are also the Torah (instruction from God). The whole Bible is the instruction of God grounded on the Torah (The Law of Moses).
