1.- What is the yoke of discipleship?
Is the decision of being imitators of Jesus.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher.” Luke 6: 40
“Pero el que guarda su palabra, en éste verdaderamente el amor de Dios se ha perfeccionado; por esto sabemos que estamos en el. El que dice que permanece en él, debe andar como él anduvo.” 1 Juan 2: 5 – 6
2.- What does the yoke of discipleship requires?
Submission and Responsibility.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11: 28 – 30
3.- What is the goal of a disciple?
To train other disciples for Jesus.
“Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28: 19
4.- What does the Kingdom of Heaven means?
It means the dominion and lordship of God. It refers to the messianic age which is now and in the future.
“Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom[a] of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1: 14 – 15
5.- How can I enter into the Kingdom of Heaven?
Repenting and accepting the yoke of discipleship of Jesus in my life.
“In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” Matthew 3:1-2
6.- What do I have to obey in the Kingdom of Heaven?
The absolute authority of God over my life.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Matthew 7:21-23
7.- How can I be great in the Kingdom of Heaven?
Obeying the commandments of God in the name of Jesus.
“Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:19
